This program provides children with ASD and other related conditions with a range of personalized and intensive behavioral and developmental interventions. These focus on building and promoting functional skills to overcome the limitations of their condition.
EDIBI promotes the child’s independence and encourages their participation in the home, school, or community. It also helps reduce the difficulties of looking after children with special, improving long-term outcomes for their development in the future.
EDIBI Services Focus on Managing Symptoms Like:
- Temper tantrums
- Inability to focus
- Combative or aggressive behavior that interrupts home, school, or community participation
- Fearfulness or anxiety
- Difficulty adapting to life changes
- Difficulty with transition back home after out-of-home placement
- Difficult behaviors that put children at risk of out-of-home placement
Your Child Is Eligible for This Service If:
- They are under 21 years old and on a Medical Assistance (MA program).
- They have been diagnosed with ASD or a related condition
- They are medically stable and do not require 24-hour medical attention or recurring medical interventions.
